Bagging on the lower lid is one of the problems that patients frequently complain about. This causes the face to look more tired and older. The causes depend on genetics and age. The fat pads behind a membrane called the septum in the lower eyelid comes to the fore and becomes prominent. With lower eyelid rejuvenation surgeries, excess skin and fat pads are removed. These surgeries are usually performed under general anesthesia or sedation anesthesia. In lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgeries, the incision can be made from the skin just below the eyelashes or from the inside of the eyelid (transconjunctival route) without a scar. In young patients, skin removal is generally not required, in which case the transconjunctival route is preferred. Some fat pads are removed and some are relocated to the hollow parts. With redistribution of fat pads to the hollow parts, a skeletal image around the eyes is prevented. Simultaneously, if our patient has lower lid laxity, tightening of the lower lid is also added. If necessary, the middle face lift can be done at the same time. Post-operative ice applications, resting with the head up, not smoking are important to reduce bruising and swelling. It is expected that the bruises will pass in 7-10 days. Preoperative and postoperative third month photographs of our patients who underwent transconjunctival lower lid blepharoplasty operation.
